Tuesday - Karaoke Night
Wednesday night is Karaoke night (on request) due to popular demand of regulars. However, a huge request has gone out to would be stars or anyone that can sing better than Mags (it wouldn't be hard), thus stopping her from hogging the limelight and keeping her behind the bar where she does things best.
Friday - Live Music
Every Friday night The Royal Well Tavern has live music, which gets people off their backsides and dancing, more often than not with either Mags or one of the friendly bar staff who know what you want before even you do.
Saturday - DJ Nite
A variety of DJ's playing 'Break Beats, Hard House & Drum n Bass'
Sunday - Open Decks
If you fancy yourself as a bit of DJ why not turn up and play a 30 min set in front of a supportive crowd.
Bar Olympics
The Royal Tavern supports many a local charity especially if the fund raising involves a good time and the downing of many a fine beverage. Be on the lookout this winter for the Bar Olympics, where events such as the 6 legged 100 metres dash and the eating a whole raw onion the quickest will have spectators on the edge of their seats and cheering or jeering for the local champions.
Students welcome and encouraged to be at their best or worst (depending on how you look at it).
The Royal Well Tavern supports all Student fund raising events from the annual Rag Parade to specific events that the SU bars are to afraid to run. For example college drinking families (chefs, police, thunderbirds, city gents, originals etc) are all respected and encouraged to have a good time.
