The
Ship Inn is the last surviving pub in Framilode
and has traded as a pub for over 100 years.
It opened its doors serving the barge men who
worked on the Stroudwater Canal. The canal junction
with the Severn could only be used at high tides,
and the barge crews would have to wait for the
tide at Framilode.
Now popular with locals and a passing trade the inn is open all year round and offers a wide range of home cooked food, real ales and comfortable accommodation.
